Pssst....On Dit
Thanks to authors Anthea Lawson and Vanessa Kelly, I found out that The Mammoth Book of Regency Romance stories is currently in progress.
From their website, this is an "unbeatable collection of noble rogues and rotters, risqué ladies, illicit lovers, and certain scandal! From some of the biggest names in Regency historical romance [come] 25 wickedly witty, lusciously romantic and sublimely sensual short stories replete with oversexed aristocrats, posturing courtesans, and feuding dukes and duchesses."
"[They] tell of a beautiful lady awakened by a passion more powerful than anything she has ever known, one that could doom or save her; a disgraced rake who, given a final chance to redeem himself, discovers love has rules of its own; and a luscious young beauty fed up with proper tea parties and elegant balls who disguises herself to enjoy a soirée of uninhibited pleasure. As the passion mounts, so do the complications."
Includes big name contributors, such as Mary Jo Putney, Jo Beverley, Eloisa James, Loretta Chase, and Mary Balogh, and also Anthea Lawson and Vanessa Kelly.
It will be on sale on June 24, 2010. (Yep, it's on my list; why do you ask?)

Hey, Keira, cool! I'm doing a story for them too but didn't realize I was playing with quite such big guns!
How fabulous!! Slowly, everyone's coming out of the woodwork and closet and owning up to their story in it.
I've almost written mine - my first reunion story. It's been fun!
I've been wondering why you've been quieter since your blog tour for COS. Now I know.
The short story works really well for you, doesn't it? Most novel writers find it really hard to write that short, but having read your previous work, you're good at both.
Keira, this sounds like a terrific book. And if it keeps Anna out of mischief, writing for it, all the better!
Annie, good to see you here. And heh. You think Fo gets up to mischief with too much on hand? Given her propensity to start her next project on January 1, this time around, she did have an extra long break. You'd think daily swimming, sunning, beaching, etc. in that resort of a house wouldn't give her any spare time to work, let alone for mischief.
Hi Keira! Thanks for posting up this on-dit. :D
Anna, you're one of the big guns to us *wink* -- this is promising to be a terrific collection of stories. We're having fun with ours!
Anthea, welcome to the blog, and thank you for alerting me to this fabulous collection. I'm looking forward to everyone's contributions.
